We have continued Claire’s parents work in devoting ourselves to the upkeep, repair and progression of the Doddington Estate including; the development of the Farm Shop, Café, Restaurant, Interiors Store, Christmas Tree Sales and Weddings and Events businesses; increasing public access; organising concerts and exhibitions and the development of various holiday cottages across the estate. There is always something new to see and do on the estate whether that is inside the Hall, in the five acres of gardens, on one of the estate walks or in our Farm Shop, Café or Restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you to Doddington. Claire and James Birch

Our ladies’ beginners ride is aimed at riders who want to gain more confidence with riding their bikes. That could be knowing how to better handle your bike, venturing onto the road, learning new skills such as drinking from your bottle, or even participating in group rides.  This two and a half hour free session will provide just that. The objective of the session is to inspire you with the confidence and ability to ride your bike everywhere with a smile.  Don’t panic! The two and half hour session is not all on the bike! The session will include an introduction to Kate and Michelle who will be your coaches on the day. By having a chat, they can establish what it is each individual rider is wanting to achieve from the session. They will also talk through your bike and helmet with a basic safety check.  Things that will be covered during the session will include pedalling, braking, demystifying gears, cornering & position on the bike. It is all done in a fun group environment.  To participate you need to first book your place (limited to 12 riders), have a safe working bike, appropriate clothing for the conditions, a helmet (meeting British safety standards) and a good sense of humour.
